Seven Simple Steps To A More Radiant You

Every woman wants to look and feel good about their appearance but with today’s hectic régimes and financial pressures sometimes beauty tends to take a backseat.  Most women forget that just sticking with the basics can go a long way.  When you do not have a lot of time or money, there are seven simple steps; you can do to help your skin show its natural radiance.

Here are a few little things that you can do to feel great about yourself, which do not require a lot of time.  Try them on your next day off or add it to your daily routine.

The first step to a better appearance is taking a little time for yourself to reduce your stress.  Do something each day just for you.  Remember, if you do not take care of yourself, you cannot take care of anyone else.  Try putting on your favorite body spray, lotion, or eat that small piece of chocolate cake. 

On your next day off, when you have an extra 30 minutes to yourself, try this: Run a hot bath, place your favorite oil-beads, bath salts, or both into the water.  Next, light some candles, turn on your favorite music, and relax as stress can make us all look a bit more tired. 

This would be a great time to use that facemask that has been sitting underneath your sink.  It will help clean out any pore-clogging debris preventing your skin from breathing.

Another step is to remember to wash your face daily with a good face-wash.  If you want your skin to keep its radiance, then you need to remember to not only think about washing your face but also choose a face-wash that is not drying or contains harsh chemicals; always read your labels.  Furthermore, to help you to remember to use it, place it where you will remember it, in the shower/tub; if you can see it, you are more likely to use it.

Next, we often forget that even if we have oily or dry skin, that our skin can still get dry so, always remember the lotion. 

One more thing we often overlook is daily protection by a good SPF product.  SPF’s help to block cancer-causing rays from harming your skin as well as it protects against both windburns and sunburn.  SPF’s should be used year round so, ask your doctor how much SPF you should use.  Also, read your labels as some ingredients can clog your pores.  

The last two items are exercise and sleep, which are often overlooked; however, they do aid skin with the following:  Exercising helps clean out the pores, reduces stress, and increases circulation.  Sleep renews the body while also helping in the fight to reduce stress.  Both of these play key roles in our daily life, therefore, it is important to keep up with them.  A little extra effort goes a long way so talk to your doctor and find out how much he/she thinks you need daily.
